This Ethiopian coffee is grown on the Lemma family farm in southwestern Ethiopia. The farm owner, Lemma Edeto, began working with coffee nearly 60 years ago; he passed down his knowledge to his two sons, Haile and Nigusse. The Lemma family also processes their coffee, giving them full control over the finished product up until exportation. In February 2014, the Lemma family won the African taste of harvest competition, an award given by the African Fine Coffee Association.
These Indigenous Heirloom beans are grown on the Deru mountains at roughly 2200m between January and February. After they are naturally processed, they are sun-dried on raised beds.
