Description

This organic Balinese coffee grows in the Kintamani highlands atop a large volcanic plateau at roughly 1700 meters. The use of pesticides is prohibited on Bali and all fertilizers are completely organic. In Bali, they have traditional farming structure organizations called Subak Abians, similar to a farmer cooperative. There are thirteen different Subak Abians that are currently growing and processing coffee. The promotion of improved coffee growing practices is expected to enhance not only agricultural technology but social and economic standing in Bali, as well.

This coffee boasts a bright, fruit-forward sweetness and overwhelming chocolate & buttery characteristics. It is harvested from May until July, dried on mats up to forty percent and then partially wet-hulled.
