Description

Fazenda Santa Lucia producer Hélcio Carneiro Pinto has been working in coffee since he was 15 years old. After helping his mother produce and process crops into adulthood, Hélcio took over management of Santa Lucia in 1976. In the 1990s, Hélcio helped found Aprocam, a group of pioneers that began a movement for the pursuit of quality coffee in the region of Carmo de Minas. Aprocam introduced the idea of processing pulped naturals, and Hélcio was the first producer to acquire the machinery for this method. Since then, Hélcio has worked with universities and scientists to further his education, as well as conducting trips to other coffee-producing countries to share knowledge of specialty coffee production methods.

This pulped Yellow Bourbon lot is harvested between May & August at 1200m, processed using anaerobic fermentation, and then sun-dried.
