Description

Cafe Tolima Suave represents 154 coffee producers in the municipality of Planadas, Tolima. The Association’s goal is to give producers access the international market. With a focus on organic agriculture practices, the association helps its members to develop better quality coffees and create awareness of conservancy and protection of natural resources. They reinvest profit into their four community education programs to promote reforestation, sustainable gardening, sensorial practices, and entrepreneurial education for women.

Tolima’s mountainous landscape and tropical climate is characterized by volcanic soil and very few bugs or pests, making it ideal for coffee growing. This microlot is grown at an altitude ranging from 1650 to 2100 masl, fully washed, and laid out on patios to dry.
