Description
These organic, fair-trade beans are grown in the region of Huehuetenango – the most western part of Guatemala, nearly on the Mexican border. This coffee is produced by an association of smallholder coffee farmers, ASPROCDEGUA; the organization offers its members access to technical assistance and routinely provides services such as soil analysis, test farms, and social projects based on food security, education, and nutrition.
These beans are grown at roughly 2200 meters between January and April. They are washed and then sun-dried on the producers’ patios.
