Description
This coffee is produced by the COOPFASI co-op; they empower and promote ‘women grown’ coffee. These women contribute to the physical and sensory quality of the coffee. Their efforts focus on improving quality and delivering consistent coffee to different markets. They manage new projects and develop ways to improve the lives of their families. In 2016, a committee of women was created by the co-op; they are responsible for distributing loans which enable producers to improve their own land while also developing kitchens, crafts, livestock, and technology.
This coffee is grown at roughly 1700 MASL, fully-washed, and then laid out on patios to dry in the sun.
